I have started at least two other blogs about my transgender journey. I ditched them both... or all. It just did not feel like time. Or I felt ambivalent about being so public after having spent way too much of my life being The Official Whatever, or maybe I was just having trouble expressing what was going on and why, or all of the above.
I decided a blog like this is necessary for me. Mostly I need a place for my impressions, my ideas, articles, stories, and so forth.
And I figure why not share it? Why not ask other trans people and allies to send in their artwork and writing?
Is it for transmen or transwomen? Both, and anyone else for whom "trans" touches a central place in him or her or ze.
I am thinking of doing something like this:
Monday - New flash or short fiction or reviews or blurbs of trans novels
Tuesday - Trans artwork
Wednesday - Transgender history, news and events
Thursday - Journal entry of the week.. yours, mine, ours
Friday - An ongoing collaborative story
Weekend - Free for all
This is all depending on whether I have something or someone else sends something.
I can imagine photography, app reviews, rants, personal stories, quizzes, games, polls, challenge questions, poetry, videos, anything we can legitimately post with out needing to license it.
We can post reviews and/or blurbs for erotic material, but to keep Blogger happy and this blog alive, let's keep the stories etc. R rated at most.
Whatever you send remains your property. You can ask for something you donated to be taken down for any reason.
Questions? Comments? When you send something be sure to tell me exactly how you want to be identified. Oh, and edit and proof your stuff. I don't proof, and what's more, you don't want me to.
